PHILIP J. MAYER, M.D.
Philip J. Mayer, M.D., is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic spine surgeon with over 40 years of experience in operative and non-operative of treatment of people with spine problems. He completed orthopaedic residency at the University of Rochester in 1978, and did fellowship training at the Harvard University and the University of Hong Kong. He was recruited to be Head of the Section of Spine Surgery in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Henry Ford Hospital. He was appointed a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedics at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2009 and was also an Associate Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Detroit Medical Center. He is an active Fellow in the International Academy of Independent Medical Examiners [previously the American Academy of Independent Medical Examiners]. He performs IME and forensic evaluations on adults with spinal problems.
JERRY A. MATLEN, M.D.
Dr. Matlen is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with a clinical practice in Royal Oak, Michigan. He is affiliated with William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Matlen has done multiple fellowships including in the areas of reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee, bone tumors and orthopaedic oncology. He performs IMEs related to any and all general orthopedic complaints.
DOUGLAS G. PLAGENS, M.D.
Dr. Plagens is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery whose private practice is in Dearborn, Michigan. He is currently affiliated with Beaumont Dearborn Hospital and St. Mary Mercy Hospital. He currently serves as the team orthopedic surgeon for the Detroit Red Wings and is an assistant team physician for the Detroit Tigers. Dr. Plagens is fellowship-trained in orthopedic sports medicine and is the Assistant Director of Professional Sports Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Plagens performs IMEs related to extremity injuries.
JEFFREY T. WALDROP, M.D.
Dr. Waldrop is a board certified orthopedic surgeon whose private practice is in Dearborn, Michigan. He is currently affiliated with Beaumont Dearborn Hospital and St. Mary Mercy Hospital. Dr. Waldrop attended medical school at Wayne State University and his residency was done at the Medical College of Ohio. He is an experienced surgeon specializing in trauma, total joint replacement, fracture care, general orthopedics and sports medicine. He performs IMEs related to extremity injuries.
